It’s a typical morning, you yawn and stretch out of the bed, breaking your slumber. You brush your teeth and your eyes just refuse to open and focus. You splash your face with cold water and suddenly, your right eye starts irritating you. Something inside makes you squirm and you itch your eye to only make it worse. You wash your eye with cold water with the hope that the little bugger is out of your visionary domain. You stare into the mirror with your hands propelled pulling up the eyelid to expose the entire eyeball – all in search of the irritant. “There’s nothing there”. You relax and close your eyes and roll it 360 degrees. And there, it starts bugging you again. Your eyes water as it seems to be but natural for the eyes to do in order to get rid of the intruder. Without wasting time, you forgo the irritation, get ready and you’ve started the day with a red watery eye. When someone asks you,”were you punched in the eye?”, you could be so close to punching them because you’re exhausted with all the strain from the curse. As suggested by many you opt for actually allowing someone to blow into your eye with the hopes that whatsoever is in there, decides to get rinsed/blown out. With no luck you sit down and close your eyes with your palm holding a tissue to absorb the “tears”, and you actually stop irritating your eye. You stop itching it and of course you stop rolling your eyeball inside the closed eyelids. As though a certain snooze button was knocked at. You still feel the burning sensation and sit calmly thinking about absolutely nothing.
Minutes later, you take off the tissue, open your eye, focus and realize all’s ok. No irritation! Wonderful. You look at the tissue paper and find a tiny eyelash there.
The point here is the metaphor. If you’ve tried tackling it for the fear it may turn into something worse and there’s no change – Stop worrying about it and everything will be ok before you know it.
Life’s little things matter.

There is no value in life except what you choose to place upon it and no happiness in any place except what you bring to it yourself.
